Last Tuesday, the government announced some relaxation, which means that - in addition to the rehearsal rooms that were already open - there is also something possible regarding activities. Once these have been confirmed you can find them in the agenda on the homepage. Our bar is still closed for a while but a new plan is being worked on.

 

 

Update Saturday January 15 th, 13:00 h

 

Yesterday, the government announced some relaxation of the corona measures, making it possible to rehearse at POPEI again. Due to organizational reasons, individual rehearsals can be booked from Monday. Regular bands can start playing as of today Saturday 15 January.

 

 

Update Monday December 20th, 11:00 h

 

Due to the new lockdown that was announced last Saturday and has come into effect almost immediately, POPEI will be completely closed until at least January 14, 2022. Rehearsing - also during the day - is unfortunately not possible at the moment. We hope to receive people again as soon as possible!

 

 

 

Update Thursday December 16th, 9:00 h

 

Last Tuesday, the government announced that the evening lockdown will be extended until at least January 14, 2022.

 

The measures below from the update of November 29th will be extended until at least that date.

 

 

 

Update Monday November 29th, 11:00 h

 

Last Friday, the government announced new measures for at least the next three weeks.

 

Rehearsal rooms

This means that from Sunday November 28, our rehearsal rooms will be closed from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the next 3 weeks. Rehearsals can take place during the day. It is therefore not possible to rehearse in the evenings for the period of three weeks. So book your rehearsal, for example during the weekend during the day! Then there is still enough space.

 

For all permanent bands we will reschedule the bookings for the next three weeks until the end of the contract, so the contract will be extended with one month. The bands with a storage room have access to their own belongings as usual.

 

Activities

After 5 pm there cannot take place any activities for at least 3 weeks from Sunday 28 November. The events that were already planned will be canceled and this will also be communicated in the specific communication about these events, such as in the agenda on this website.

 

 

Hopefully the situation will improve soon and we can come up with better news.

 

 

 

 

 

Update Thursday July 1st, 14:30 h

 

As of last Saturday, June 26, the government has lifted almost all restrictions.

 

This is also very good news for our rehearsal rooms, as there can be plenty of rehearsals again. Individual bookings can be placed again on all days. Bands still have to enter through the band entrance. You can use your access pass for this as before. Don't forget that all passes that are logged in will also be logged out!

 

There is no longer a maximum number of visitors for the floors or the Horeca.

 

Rehearsers can now also order a drink at the bar, but the Horeca is currently closed from 10 p.m.

 

We are striving to expand the opening hours soon. Keep an eye on the website for the latest changes!

 

 

 

Update Tuesday June 1st, 14:30 h

 

Great news: from Saturday 5th of June our restaurant will be open from 12:00 till 22:00 h and we can welcome guests inside. Furthermore our rehearsal rooms will be opened from Monday June 7th. Because of the restrictions of maximum amount of visitors, it's on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only possible to rehearse by bands with a subscription. Seperate bookings can be done only on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Last Thursday the government announced a few small alleviations starting from April 28th. Our terrace will be open every day from 12:00 till 18:00 h. You can book a table here.

Yesterday evening the government released new rules to prevent the Corona virus. 

 

Therefore our rehearsal rooms are closed from today and till at least Tuesday January 19th, so you can't rehearse at POPEI. All contracts will stay vallid for 5 weeks longer so you will not loose rehearsals. We will move the rehearsals to the end of the contract.  Bands with a storage room will keep access to it. 

Our restaurant will stay open for takeaway only.

Yesterday evening the government released new rules to prevent the Corona virus. 

 

For our bar/restaurant arrea means this that we are closed from tomorrow (Thursday October 15th 2020).

 

For our rehearsal rooms there are no changes relative to the measures of the lasts fews weeks. Read the updates below for more information bout the measures in and around POPEI. Of course you have to stay in distance of 1,5 meter of each other, and please stay home when you have symptoms.

For our activities: the singer-songwriters on sunday will be canceled till November 8th. The activities in our concert hall can go through, but without drinks from our café. There will be free water bottles and you can bring your own drinks, with activities in the evening, you can only bring non-alcoholic consumptions, no alcohol allowed.

Update Tuesday May 12th, 15:30 h:

 

Finally good news! From Tuesday June 2nd you can rehearse again at POPEI.

We will use the time to make everything corona-proof. There are multiple measures lined up by the RIVM. We hope for your cooperation and understanding, so everyone can come to rehearse again:

BOOKINGS
- Just like always you need to book and pay you rehearsal via our online booking system: https://www.popei.nl/nld/inloggen.
- Just like before you can book and pay the needed backline during the booking proces. Hired backline will be available IN the rehearsal room and you leave it there after you’re finished. From now on POPEI doesn’t rent any microphones, cymbals and cables anymore. If you need them, you’ll need to bring them yourself. Bands who already booked and paid those backline-items, can contact Carin via carin@popei.nl.
- BE AWARE: you need to have an entrance pass if you want to use our rehearsal rooms! If you don’t have one yet, you’ll have to make an appointment with Carin to pick one up and get explanation about its use. If you don’t do that, you can’t get into our building. After payment you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to make an appointment (from Monday till Thursday, between 14:00 and 16:00 h).

 

IN AND AROUND THE BUILDING
- It’s important that you gather outside of POPEI. When all bandmembers are there, you open the door at the load and unload area with the entrance pass, which will log you in. You also leave the building together via the same door, by opening the door from the inside by using the entrance pass, which will log you out. More information about the usage of the pass will you get when you pick up your entrance pass.
- Everyone needs to keep 1,5 meter distance from each other.
- Rehearsing is only allowed with a maximum of 5 persons per room (40 m²), provided that you keep 1,5 meter distance.
- Follow the arrows and signs for the walking route.
- Maximum 30 people are allowed per floor. Because we have a maximum of 6 rehearsal rooms per floor we can use all rehearsal room, but only in case of respecting the rules above.
- Rehearsing musicians can’t enter the POPEI building through the bar/restaurant, we don’t use the clipboards for now so you don’t need to pick those up either. The bar/restaurant is only accessible for people who made a table-reservation. 

 

And besides those rules, of course: please stay home if you feel sick and use your common sense. We are looking forward to see you all again!

At POPEI we take the health and safety of our employees and visitors very seriously. Through the press conference of the Southeast Brabant Security Region, we became aware of the new measures concerning the Corona virus, specifically for North Brabant. Based on this, we have decided to cancel ALL organized activities up to and including Friday March 20th. Our bar, restaurant and rehearsal rooms will be open as usual. On Monday March 16th we will review the situation and decide if further procautions are necessary.
